ARCGIS SERVERTM CUSTOM WEB APPLICATIONS
GIS delivery and management can become costly and time consuming, especially in the corporate enterprise environment. Desktop applications provide a powerful and individualistic capacit, but require significant overhead to manage and support. A growing number of corporations and government bodies are moving from the desktop environment to the web-based GIS services. This deployment strategy maintains quality control, reduces management overhead, and provides the user an application that specificcally meets their analysis, query, data entry/edit, or other system access needs. This service is delivered via the client's web browser, without overhead of managing desktop applications, multiple and potentially differing databases, and ensures quality consistency in information output or modifications to the database.
UMR Recreational Boating Application. GSS supports the Upper Mississippi River Federal and State agencies in the design and hosting of the Recreational Boating database and website. This site currently allows query and zoom functionality, but has the capacity to add substantial analysis and data edit capabilities as the agencies' use grows. To view the site click UMR Boating. |
